May 24 2019. 52.35 under testing.
Has macro to submit a system from favorites to WF
New expiry date 6 sept 2019. All previous builds expire 6/6/2019

There is a new installer coming soon that will auto update your desktop links to the current version of GSB
Paths are also tidied up
Default paths will also be
c:\gsb\
C:\GSB\Workers
C:\GSB\Cloud Workers

admin - 25-5-2019 at 05:38 AM

Coming soon,
random noise.
We can also build on random noise bars, and test the OOS on the 30 min bars

The big question, is this a good idea???
I think the test will be 29,30,31 with random noise added.
is it better than just 29,30,31 min bars

42.45 released. Full installer ready soon if anyone needs it, email. Else it will appear as the new version for trial users soon

admin - 28-5-2019 at 04:07 AM

Minor issue. We cant via macro change from unique systems to say favA.
We need a macro that says goto FavA tab
or stats(use favA) etc
This means the complete market validation with WF is a two step process.

Hope its fixed in the next build

admin - 30-5-2019 at 05:39 AM

I hope to have a very significant improvement to out of sample results in the next build. 52.50
More tomorrow. Testing it now.
There are new operand / multiplier methods.
Also improved macros. Market validation now a one step process

admin - 30-5-2019 at 05:25 PM

42.49 coming out later today.
The results speak for themselves.
use default weights (.5 2 .25) 0 to 100 step 5 entry paramaters, with multiply operand and sign or power

new_operands.png - 583kB

admin - 1-6-2019 at 01:52 AM

52.53 under testing. Has two new sign methods. (what to do with indicators depending of them being + or negative
Coming up is more tweaks on macros.
if wf say 1000 systems, but do stats in 95% of them that are done.
The last few % often can be stragglers due to Resource Manager killing a worker etc.

admin - 4-6-2019 at 12:31 AM

Coming soon, macro buttons. Mouse over gives the file name its linked to.

Cloud backend of WF is much faster. In the past it was about 1 WF per second. So if two users dump 1000 wf at the same time, it takes some time to fully drive workers.

admin - 5-6-2019 at 02:01 AM

Hoping to release 52.66 in 24 hours.
Needs new eld for gsb log function and the dummy GSB_Scripts_2019-06-04

admin - 5-6-2019 at 07:58 PM

52.71 released.
You need new ELD.
Whats in it is the dummy argument for Value1 = GSB_Scripts_2019_06_04
GSB_LOGxy function
Faster keltner function. (not used yet)

Macros are enchanced.
There is a bug that edit of macros doesnt work
see below

1.0.52.85 / 2019-06-08: under testing
Implemented save of system's WF in two modes, Full is the default and ParamsOnly is the second option.
Implemented save of compressed system file (*.gsbsystemz), Compressed is the default and FullText is the second option.
Fixed WF prices when OOS is false.
Fixed WF ID change every time the user re-clicks the system.
Multiple small GUI fixes and/or updates.
run mangers for dd:hh:mm option
local wf now have a que, rather than send them all at once
Updated workers to log missing workplace or WF files silently.
Updated managers to auto delete/cancel workplaces/WFs on files upload failure.
Implemented CpuCoresDataUpload.
Implemented CpuCoresLocalWfs.

admin - 10-6-2019 at 09:56 PM

52.89 released. As GSB development has been faster than normal, the documentation is now lagging a bit. Currently there is an extra programmer on GSB

admin - 11-6-2019 at 07:45 PM

53.06 released. 15 June 2019
Fixed duplicates and unique-systems count mismatch (between the lower and right grids).
Implemented and fixed Impersonate sub-menu (under View). Note: Admin and beta only.
Preserving stats drop-down selected value on updates.
Renamed ""Entry Level Base" to be "Entry Level Value" to match Power/Log before making them visible to non SU/BT users.
Showing "Entry Level Mode" and "Entry Level Value" to purchased-users (i.e. admins).
Hiding "Entry Level Value" if "Entry Level Mode" is Exact.
GA Generations default set to 40 (instead of 1000).
Bug fixes, improved c/us graph (more to come here)
Fix of manager not stopping when system limit is hit.
Fix for systems in unique <> figure in gsb right side.
Various minor improvements.
Power function on entry level (experimental)
use entrylevel 0 to 10 step 1 with power 5 is my recommend setting if you are going to try this. Do not use Log

decision = GSB_Decision2(result, 3, Power(entryParams, 5));

You need to be in GSB ADMIN mode to get this feature.
There is also under view, impersonate mode. IF lets you see trial/registered user compared to admin user

Note the C/US graph shows me that generations should be set to to about 40 (im using 13 indicators) If using 38+ then a bigger figure might be ok.
Its not critical but resulted in much faster building of systems

53.13 being tested. 17 June 2019
see here for updates
https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/FitnessGraph.html

c/us is being replaced with pass score. High is good. (similar to inverse of c/us)
macro to change left side dates can be run with no systems in it.
Good to do before you build systems or WF if you've changed the dates.

admin - 17-6-2019 at 05:23 AM

53.19 released. Need some small fixes in the new fitness graph.
Lots of small refinements in this build.

admin - 18-6-2019 at 10:36 PM

Soon we will have macro for start building systems.
can be timer, date / time or CPU usage driven.

unrelated, please comment on this post.

https://trademaid.info/forum/viewthread.php?tid=233#pid3943

start-build.png - 29kB

One of the purposes of this was that we can run a macro to change the dates BEFORE we build systems. This stops an element of human error

admin - 19-6-2019 at 11:12 PM

Coming in a few days .
A more coarse astab-rstab. It ignores weights, entrylevel, SF level.
But I would increase the threshold used to above 40
Astab is very useful, but Im not yet sure if this is better or not.
There also is a tolerance of 10%.
ie if a indicator goes from 100 to 101, it would reduce stability score.
Now we have a soft coded tolerance of 10%

I would use whatever astab-w value that takes the top 30% of all astab-w values

tolerance.png - 69kBastab-w.png - 52kB

admin - 19-6-2019 at 11:57 PM

There is also new macro features.
Not well tested, but astab with fintessOOS seemed to be a promising combination

admin - 20-6-2019 at 06:19 AM

53.24 released. 20 June 2019

admin - 24-6-2019 at 06:27 PM

Coming in the next day or so,
GSB 53.39

It has bug fix for saving WF full system, duplicate systems filter tweaks, other bug fixes.
Some new features though not sure if they will be released. Depends on if it helps OOS results.
CloseD filters now allowed for tick data. Improving of session time logic, esp for tick data.
Improvements and fixes to some macro issues.

I may move this thread to the public forum shortly. It gives trial uses an idea of the progress and interest in the latest features of GSB

admin - 27-6-2019 at 02:49 AM

43.480 released.
Has bug fix for no trades occurring in TS/MC
CosssSingleLevel entry mode for all users now true, not just admin users

admin - 28-6-2019 at 04:06 AM

54.00 has context sensitive help. hit f1 above an area, and a map under help.
Not all fields are fully implemented.

Some bug fixes

Under testing now.

admin - 11-7-2019 at 05:06 AM

The above is done.
Coming next is market degradation per system, and further tweaks to AI-WF.
The feature is working in my current build, but needs some refinement.
There are settings changes that all users need to be aware of if they use auto Nth. (under app settings)

admin - 12-7-2019 at 12:55 AM

WF graph now has numbers on it too.

Hoping next to give a family name for each system.

Lets say there are 4 systems that use rsi, atr, fastk
and 2 systems that use
xave, stock, atr

The family with the most members is family1.
This implies those indicators are the most common, and likely the best.
It also implies the entire family is likely highly correlated, and you should choose only one of the members
Likely chose the member with the highest fitness (or other metrics you like)
All other things like parameters, signs, exits etc are ignored from the family.

JasonT - 18-7-2019 at 11:00 PM

An amazing set of feature updates Peter, thanks very much.

admin - 22-7-2019 at 02:40 AM

July 19, 2019. 54.53 released.
Bug fixes, Negative signp entrylevel in effect was abs(entrylevel)
AI wf would only use settings it was built on, so changing dates, nth etc would not affect it.
Intermittent Pricedata errors fxied
Other fixes

jptann - 23-7-2019 at 10:22 AM

I can not find the 54.53 release. When I start the RM, the only version I have available in the manager or worker files is 54.27. Where do I get the 54.53 release?

Just a suggestion is that when you release a new version, please provide a link where we can go to download that version.

Thanks

jptann - 23-7-2019 at 01:23 PM

Peter:

Ignore my last post. After starting RM it brought up the most current workers. I have a suggestion and a real issue with the GSB in how it is organized. Every time the RM starts a new worker, the Opp settings are what you used, and do not have my own defaults. Is there anyway you can add a way for us to modify the DEFAULTS in the OPP settings so that they continue to load with my data files and other Opp settings. That would be the easiest. Maybe you could have a button to restore factory defaults if we screw up, but a way to load our Opp settings once as our default and the program would open workers with those defaults.

Right now I have to go to each of the workers and make sure they have the correct Opp settings which include the appropriate data files. Thanks.

Look forward to your reply

reset feature we have.
https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/Resetingtodefaults.html

Apart from share key, you should not have to touch any worker settings.
The manager will transfer them all.

If you need to tweak something, kill all workers. Run one worker. Tweak settings. save settings. RM will open all new workers in the same folder with the settings you saved.

admin - 26-7-2019 at 05:47 AM

Coming soon,
54.56
You can build systems long and short, the using over ride original settings allow long or short only trading.
It means you can do a long WF or a short WF on a system that was build long and short

This can also be done in macros

There is a bug fix for families.
Indicators in different sequence were considered different families. This should not have been the case.

admin - 26-7-2019 at 06:48 PM

27 July 2019 54.56 released.
It has more pss options, with a little more to come,
Docs to come by tues, maybe earlier

admin - 27-7-2019 at 12:12 AM

On monday will release 54.47
It has custom pssr ratio. (the degradation per system of in sample vs out of sample)

Carl - 27-7-2019 at 08:16 AM

Hi Peter,

Do the pss and pssr work for the IS/OOS building settings and for the Nth building settings as well?

All the best from Greece.

54.57 released. This has custom metrics on PSS coulomb.
Docs for the new features are here.
PSS https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/Systemstatistics-degradation....

Long and short features
https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/Positionsallowed.html

admin - 6-8-2019 at 08:25 PM

54.61 has Ninja trader code in it.

I have not tested it, and I know the conversion of GSB indicators is not complete. This will mean a miss-match.

We have two Alpha testers, but if anyone wants to play with GSB-NT, I can give them a copy.
More updates expected in the next week.

There also is a option to NOT WF optimize specific input(s) and or weight(s)
I think this is a good idea for highly advanced users. ie for ES, closed of about 16 is best, but WF sometimes gives really big (too big) after 2008 etc
Im open to ideas, but I might release this only to users in Impersonate( purchased users mode)

JasonT - 7-8-2019 at 02:07 AM

Outstanding work Peter well done

admin - 13-8-2019 at 04:16 AM

54.65 under testing. Will be released tomorrow if all goes well. Has new entry types, and updates needed for TS/MC code.

admin - 14-8-2019 at 02:13 AM

54.65 failed testing.
Next build has another entry type, and possibly moving average replacement for CloseD secondary filter.
Also more macro features.
Should be out in 24 hours

admin - 14-8-2019 at 08:41 PM

54.71 has new macro features.
I use this to pick the top 90 systems with best Astab-c and as a seperate test top 90 vss

The build has a small bug in TS code, so not ready yet

Not extensively tested by me.

Various bug fixes

Likely this will be the new trial release version.
Expiry date updated to dec 4 2019

admin - 27-8-2019 at 05:28 AM

54.86 released. GSB Benchmark almost ready, but fair bit of work to document it.

admin - 28-8-2019 at 03:40 AM

if build passes testing, we now have auto on secondary filter. This is going to save a lot of operator error, esp for new users

sf-auto.png - 92kB

admin - 29-8-2019 at 02:10 AM

54.92 under testing.
Has auto secondary filter, and new GSB TS/MC functions to fix entry modes AnyIndicatorCross, NoConflictCross, All Indicator cross.

Note these three entry types should have weights roughly -90 to 90 step 5 and do not use entryLevel

see https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/Entrymodes.html for more details

admin - 30-8-2019 at 10:54 PM

54.96 has a tiny tweak needed, but likely released Monday.
Has bug fixes, minor GUI improvements and secondary filter auto mode.
New TS functions need to be loaded.

admin - 1-9-2019 at 08:10 PM

54.97 released. 2 September 2019
Enjoy :)

Bruce - 2-9-2019 at 08:13 PM

Hi Peter, are you going to accommodate for short trading days in GSB?

I add a function in the TS code that stops me from trading on a shortened trading session to currently get around it.

Thoughts?

Im not going to worry about it. Short trading days rarely trade as the market moves little. With the wisdom of hind-site gsb will exit at the early moc time.
My logic is more, there are features all users need that will make a significant difference to us all, while this will make negligible difference

engtraderfx - 3-9-2019 at 03:19 AM

Just had this happen last night, didn't realise a short session, had to close tonight for a smallish loss, lucky market didn't move more. Is there a way to know trading sessions or do we need to keep eye on broker info?

note that some exchanges sometimes differ.

In the private forum, I think john62 modified one of my systems to have holiday code installed in it.

Otheerwise ts forum might have such code too

55.06 close to release.
Has dual entry level which I think has some promise. one user tested it to and was most happy.
More ninja trader work done too.

GSB benchmark close to release.
It tests the speed of combinations of the amount of workers, cache settings and wf settings with amount of workers and wf per worker.
The paid version will have a libary of various machines, and what ram / cpu was used and showing best amount of workers * wf to use

55.56 coming soon
Improved random noise data.
It converts to 30 minute, then randomizes data. File names used have random ticked auto added in them.
Note there was a bug in previous random noise data, so to be safe re-create your random noise data.
Ie only done one comparison, but new random noise data worked better than old data.
The bug was that on a 1 min basis, a high cloud be lower than close, and visa versa.
I dont think this was a critical issue.
Other small tweaks added too.

version 55.60 released October 14 2019
Added saving defaults for checkboxes in reporting graph
Fixed bugs in linked macros
A minor update/fix to RunMacroStartBuildingSystems
Improved indicator statics sorting - but more work to go.

You will only get this build if GSBResouceMontitor 20191014.1 build is running.
All RM that are recent (with auto update) will update to this build

55.63 under testing.
Runmacrobuildsystems now users average CPU usage, not peak CPU
Added price data as a tool-tip to the TPD column
bug fixes

I am not receiving the new release despite using RM 20191014.1 ?

What is wrong ?

jptann - 15-10-2019 at 10:29 AM

My resource manager did not roll to the 20191014.1 version. Is there something I need to do. My RM is still at 20190815.1

55.68 coming soon. Critical bug fix's that all users need to upgrade, inc trial users.

There will be no public cloud if you dont upgrade. The reason is versions are not compatible with each other.

My estimate is 24 to 48 hours until release.
Basically GSB <> TS&MC since functions have been inline in GSB code.
Bug is only when data2 is used.

admin - 23-10-2019 at 09:11 PM

This is whats new in .71. Under testing and still some small bugs to fix.

Indicator stats now has filters according to the ratio of good / bad AND
how popular the indicator's are.
So a indicator could have a good ratio, ie 1 win 0 loss but be considered bad as it wasnt popular. This will be covered in the next video

Lots of work to fix GSB <> (TS/MC) as they are both buggy and have different bugs.
Note the difference of TS vs MC code. In theory results should be the same. IN practice this is not the case.

Hi Cipher, thanks for asking.
Likely I will release 55.74 on monday.
The last two weeks have been spent working around bugs in TS and MC when you have data2 with gaps in it.

admin - 28-10-2019 at 01:09 AM

55.74 had some bugs. 55.80 under testing.
The build after this will have a directory tree structure for price files. Its in 55.80 but is not friendly and needs a tweak
Bug fixes, Ninja script now available for all purchase users. (NT is not 100% complete yet)

oct 29 2019. 55.80 released.
New data manager folders. Still need to document that.
A question for users.

Do you want the data files tree expanded or collapsed by default?

See above post.

Thanks for this :)

I think best would be if the used section is expanded and rest collapsed.

Im thinking that too, though im not sure if we can 'save' the last used section.
I think collapsing will be best if we cant have save last used
