You could code in historical events.
Whats the logic behind this?
There are two sample files that will come with pa, both of differnt formats
one is simply date
yyyymmdd and the other more complex

The docs are complete, and just 2 tiny bugs to fix before release.
Late note, more features still needed.
Export in excel, pdf & mht + pf filter + export of ts code with date filters added
Here is an example of the output. It was saved with open office, so not sure if office excel will have any issues.

Todays build seems to be fully working, but there are some tiny refinements to come
Unzip this in your pa folder (likely "C:\Program Files (x86)\Portfolio Analyst Pro\") and over write all files. (Thats critical)

New build of pa coming
Symbol limit feature fixed.
This means we can trade no more than X contracts on any one market
A few more refinements to come

Hi all, using EL code for PA files works great since XML format is not available anymore. However the systems for sale called swing daily, i get this
warning. This was not a problem when using XML before. Anyone that came around this ?
If pressing yes here the results go bananas =)
It would be nice to get at least the closing results even if not intraday.

can you explain results go bananas ?
it still should have some sort of dd figure, though it wont be accurate
you can still use xml from ts 9.5 or load old version of ts 10, and add registry hack so it wont update.

My mistake, i hade not the whole period on PA when comparing PA report to TS report. Now i actually got exact same results despite the warning.

The new PA was released yesterday. Lots of refinements, and also systems for sale pa files dated 2 feb 2023
Im excited to say a new very useful feature is being added to the next release.
It was requested by one of the first GSB users some time ago.
When we build a portfolio, pa shows us the systems that will give the highest fitness.
However there are numerous combinations, and we might like a different combination thats just a little lower in fitness
see example below. Example showed an initial random group of 10 systems
Still working on some improvements to the report..

PA Pro XML converter
I'm using TS10 and of course no XML export.
I wrote a script that converts the CSV file, plus injects data from a price file.
I'm wondering what PA Pro is looking for in the XML file.
I have the SysInfo, Prices/Bars, and Trades sections.
For testing I tried copying all the other headers from a working XML, but PA Pro isn't loading it.
I really need the intra day data and rather not load TS9.5. My live system is already running TS10.

Best examine the pa pro exporter code and replicate the same format.
TS will hopefully put xml back, as many users complained and its in the TS job que.

Thanks. I don't see any PA Pro exporter code, only loading.
I found a typo that caused the issue... I have this working now. I can transform the CSV file from TS to an XML file and use that for PA Pro.
I'll be going over all my strategies again today now that I have intraday data in the XML file and no longer get that error message.

should be in c:\papro\TradestationCode\PORTFOLIOANALYST...eld
can you supply us the xml export code. I didnt read your email well enough and was thinking you were talking about .pa export format.
Your a smart guy to be able to achieve that export, as I imagine its not a simple task

How do we download Trade List to PA? The xml option does not appear in Tds 10
What do I do to be able to download in this xml format?

We hope ts will put xml back, but until it does you cant have xml unless you use 9.5 or a older version of ts10
The alternative is .pa file
You need to insert the c:\papro\TradestationCode\PORTFOLIOANALYST...eld on your chart
best run ts10 as windows adminstrator, otherwise you need to change the path in the eld
as ts by default doesnt have write access any more to folders under program files as its no longer running as windows adminstrator

What am I doing wrong?
c:\papro\TradestationCode\PORTFOLIO ANALYST
PORTFOLIO ANALYST? does not exist in the TradestationCode folder.
Open TDS10 in administrator mode.
Where is the problem?

Update to pa pro and the pa pro eld (has soft coded path)
It installs into c:\papro rather than c:\programfiles...
which stops the endless loop if you dont run as windows administrator and there is an update
included are bounce..pa files (see under systems for sale today)
and a number of mild refinements

There is a new PApro file. Update to exe and other files so best do a new install. In a months time this update will be pushed to all users - but more
improvements to come.
When the update is pushed - a word of warning for older pa users whi have pa installed under c:\programfiles\... Auto update will be in a constant
loop unless you run papro as windows administrator. THis is because papro doesnt have permission from the operating systems to write under
c:\programfiles folders
Newer pa install into c:\papro
Here is the main thing thats new.

There will be a new auto update of PA pro in the next few weeks.
A reminder, if you have pa pro under c:\programefiles folder (not c:\papro) you must run PA pro as windows adminstrator to get the new update
