We use 15 min for data1 and 30 min for data2
The first hour of data is used for indicators but we don't trade in the first hour.
The 15 and 30 min data usage was derived from many tests which showed these to be the best data pair to use.
We use Exchange Time for the data. This is critical to get right. Using other time zones can be done but then there are two time values to be changed in the settings. This may lead to human error in the setup.
You can either use data that comes with GSB or create your own from TradeStation. The instruction for creating your own data files is including in the Getting Data Into GSB Section of this document.
For this demo exercise we will use the GSB supplied data. The zipped datafile can be found here https://trademaid.info/forum/viewthread.php?tid=262

Once we download the datafile we extract it into the data folder. The default data folder is C:\GSB\Data but you are free to put the data in a different folder as long as you setup the Data section correctly which is covered in the following sections
