EWFO is now 8 years old, and prices will be going up at the end of the month. There has been no price increase in 9 years despite continued updates
and support.

IM not expecting any issues

next build of ewfo
montecarlo WF. Im really happy with this result, 1/2 the curves are above the original one
This feature is in GSB now too.
Whats much harder is to give a ranking of how good the WF's are. We are still working on this.

Minimum Number of Iterations?
viking - 22-2-2025 at 09:57 PM
The documentation suggests:
I prefer 10,000 iterations as a minimum, or using genetic - 10% of the iterations of brute force. Whatever number is larger. Normally I keep
generations at 100. If optimization takes too long, you may have to lower the amount of iterations somewhat. Too few iterations will not give a robust
Walk Forward.
If I am only optimizing one or two parameters, it can be difficult to get 10,000 iterations.
For example:
1. If I optimize one parameter from 0 to 10, should I set the increment to 0.001 to get 10,000 test?
2. If I optimize two parameter from 0 to 10, should I set the increment to 0.1 to get 10,000 test?

@viking
with 2 parameters ignore the 10,000
just do brute force
is value1=rsi(close,len)
you could do len from 2 to 300 (steps between 2 or 10) and y -100 to 100 step 5 etc
doing too fine is counterproductive.
later you might find 20 to 60 was the rough range to use, and not need to go to 300
with lengths, ie rsi example above, you should lever use non integer lengths. IE lenght 2.5 bars is not valid
