Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could
potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without
jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only
those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of
future results

Reliability results

Hi all,

I'm new here and I'd like to know better this software before to buy.
Currently I'm trying Strategy Quant but there are more bugs and has been developed for MT4 mainly.

Using this software the result and equity founded is the same when import the code in Tradestation or Multicharts?
TS and MC use the LIBB for more backtest details.

Thanks

Tradesation is close to exact, and MC just a little behind. You will this this very quickly- unless human error like wrong session times etc

Hi Tradingest,

GSB generated systems give exactly the same or almost the same results in TS I my experience.

I almost always use my own prices files exported from TS to txt format and imported in GSB.
In that case I know what time zone settings and custom sessions are used.
And don't forget to set the end time in the contract list.

Were you able to generate good systems already?

All the best,
Carl

Hi Tradingest,

You might experience more differences between results in GSB and TS if you using a very small stoploss.
Because GSB is not able to do LIBBT (look inside bar backtesting), a stoploss in GSB is executed at the open of the next bar and not in the same bar as with LIBBT in TS.
