Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could
potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without
jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only
those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of
future results

Been discussed above, I thought to share the link of a new starlink product that will be available in Q2 2022.

Specifically what caught my attention is the 40 ms latency claim. That would be pretty good for satellite type connection. (if true)

Interesting. Pitty I got the version 1.0, though its fine for me. Whats the cost. This is not availble in my location yet.
Starlink working well, as long as not thick rain clouds. Gives me peace of mind that my entire state can loose internet, and mine will still work as im connected 1000 km away (roughly)

Hi Antonio,
thanks for the updates.
Your picuture look great. I will post some of my holiday shots when I get time.
I have had 40 years of back pain, and doing the best in my life right now, though I still lapse into trouble intermittently.
Only massage & strength training / movement takes away pain. Ive put on about 10% body weight/muscle in the last 2 years (no fat whatsoever)
2 or 3 years ago, I was a basket case with my back. I saw a really innovative German masseur twice a week for a year. Expensive in time and $ - he lives some distance away and that corrected my posture.
also did 30 min of stretching per day + exercises
Then I went to Kieser Gym, Very different approach but similar effect. Now I stand straighter and are not heading down the shoulders curved forward, looking at my feet path.
I should say, I have tried just about everything for the back. Acupuncture, chiropractor, injections... Pilates was ok, but took a significant time to get benefit as doing Pilates correct is hard.

Covid is having implications here. Its very wide spread, but very few serious cases.
We had a relatives, relative die with covid, but they were 89 with significant comorbidity's.
Local hardware store is down to 30 staff out of 100 (and that store is the worse case of all the Bunnings hardware stores)
Supermarkets commonly have no stock of a number of items. Food expensive, esp meat. We are extremely well stocked up with food for some time, so not affected significantly. There are significant but not serious supply chain issues.

Thanks received (1):

Thanks Peter!
and thanks for sharing your path on how to improve the back pain.
Agree also that covid situation is making this issue worse due to scarce movement but im trying to do more physical exercise now

starlink now let you move location for a cost of $35 aud per month. Can be canceled at any time.
They now have the bussiness hardware thats faster and much more expensive

SPeed in NZ was faster than what I got in AU

I love my StarLink, with the remoteness of the Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand and I get 50-80Mb/per-sec up and @200Mb/per-sec down,

I love your view more than the starlink. :) I would put the unit on the roof with some straps on each leg.
They generate a lot of RF, but very little from behind the dish

Help Ukrainian refugees

Dear GSB community!
I’m writing this with permission and blessing from Peter, our Grand Master.
My name is Thomas Wocalewski, a.k.a. thowoc213.
I am Swedish of Polish origin and currently I live in Poland. Because of that, I am directly exposed to the tragedy of Ukraine and Ukrainian people. I meet refugees almost daily and I help them by donating money, buying groceries to the special boxes marked “Help to Ukrainian”. I was also hosting Ukrainian refugees in my house. During their stay, they were members of my family.
Now I am trying to help domestic refugees inside Ukraine by donating money directly to the people whom I trust.
Good people, please send money that you can give up without noticing, money that does not mean a big sacrifice for your own part. Believe me, this money will make a difference. The people whom you will be helping have nothing, they are trying to survive through this war. They left their homes with what they could hold in a handbag or backpack.
On behalf of the refugees, I thank you in advance for your generosity.
Thomas
Below are the bank details for money transfer. The account accepts EURO

As per yesterday there are 137 people in the aid centre, of which 31 children.

Hi Thowoc213.
Just want to validate that you are a genuine GSB user and person / cause. My parents and grandparents were refugees in WW2, had to flee as bombs were dropping in their area, and later destroyed their house.
On the positives, it was a happy and hospitable family, and my grand parents never once complained about it loosing the house (that I find amazing) + they still had to pay the mortgage as insurance company went bust.
Gratitude and generosity are transforming human attributes.
My father as a teenager risked getting a bullet in his head (meant literally not figuratively) to fight for freedom.
There are many requests for resources, and thats ok, Individually we cant support them all but collectively we can make a difference.

Christmas update
What a year!

What am I thankful for.
In no particular order
A great year of trading - my best. Likely also for most GSB users.
GSB community continues to thrive.
Growth in brokers and I'm also Strikers longest serving system developer.
GSBsys1ES is now out of sample I think for over 5 years with better out of sample results than in sample. (for that I blame good market conditions)

Home life.
Early this month I got to go away for 5 days with my wife Kerryn, and no children for the first time ever. Very happily married now for 22 years.
While that was nice, it became super apparent that I need to employ someone(s) to run the complex business that has now been created.
We are not a dog family, but we (my youngest) now have a Japanese Sptiz called Kia. Intelligent and well behaved, well trained.
dog1.png - 866kB

dog2.png - 643kB
My middle daughter Amie finished school with excellent marks, though she focused on her music videos much more than school.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIVS_EjBPds
Much of the content of this will go over the heads of non gen Z adults. The video is so full of detail and content with great significance, but I wouldn't see.
Apart from the obvious, would you like a cookie, NO, i insist. Its apart Google, Meta Whatsapp etc sharing data+ much more.
Amie was really brave also deliberately have no makeup and severe acne. Her next year will be very unknown in that she can go to uni, but wants to start up her own media business.
My oldest daughter Bethany continues to live an inspiring life. Not excessively busy, highly relational, loving learning, travel & very disciplined. Her 20th party was just a joy to be at. A lot of very wholesome intelligent and funny people around her. Bethany still had a day a week with no mobile phone, internet pc etc. Few people can pull off such a great habit.

Personal.
One of the biggest goals is to sleep better. Sleep long term is not at all good.
I made significant improvements in good habits, but when you have ts crashes and or Interactive Brokers issues, good habits get screwed up when your working at 3am with more wake-ups to come.
(last week was very bad, but overall things are much better)
I did manage to get 3 times a week, 2 hour exercise periods. Got a neat mountain ebike and bike 40 minutes return to the gym as long as weather permits.
We have superb bike paths in my area
Also managed to bike into a 'puddle' that was well over knee high. Pitty no photo. Very hard on ebike to reverse once you enter into a a puddle of unknown depth. (bike path was flooded one day & I didnt know the depth as new to biking at the time)
Parents in law in there 90's, survived covid almost insignificantly, but now aging a fair bit.
Loved the new episodes of the chosen (see google app store / apple) about life story of Jesus. Is the biggest crowd funded series in world history. Took a little while to get into it but find in amazing and inspiring.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-chosen/id6443956656
https://thechosen-app.com/

Election
We live in possible the worlds most locked down state as far as covid regulations. The overall outcome for covid health, mental health and finances were devastating.
Out state debt is > 3 other states combined. Health care...bad. spoke to someone with broken bones - you will not get ambulance but we can get a taxi
My wife particular was very involved and knocked on many doors. We focused in the electorate of our Premier Danial Andrews.
so much I could write....
What was interesting too whats scrutinizing of the votes. Really polarized. Andrews was either first or last in preferences.
From memory a hugh 7% of votes were not valid. Much of that accidental.
I was helping a new player (Ian cook) who came second in Andrews seat. That is amazing in that hes new and not associated with any party.
The size of his team I think was bigger than all the other parties combined.
Ian Cook entered politics due to a government inspector planting a slug in his food business. What the inspector didn't know it there was a camera videoing him during the event.
Ian's extremely successful business with 40 employees was shut down. (It was a competitor to a government run food business)
The degree of corruption in our state is at a scale most people have no idea on. A party that got many votes was the Sack Dan Andrews party. This party gives all its votes to Dan Andrews.
Thats totally legal however, just unethical. Like people who run forex courses getting paid by the broker on how much there clients loose. (True story)
Dan Andrews got in by 51% :(
The political views are minor, its the corruption and danger when one man controls the judges, police, medical and now corruption bodies.

Global issues
One of the many issues I see is energy policy's leading into to disaster (good likely for natural gas and crude oil trading) and food scarcity.
IE Ukraine was one of the largest food produces. Followed by Netherlands. Netherlands my understanding is has shut down 3000 farms recently under the guise of being more environmental (when Europe and Africa are facing massive food issues.
I feel we are long in our trading positions in stock called human / political stupidity and or evil. Sadly this good environment for our trading.
Whats been good is all these relational networks where people are helping each other and networking, as well as learning to have inner peace - even when external circumstances arent how you would like.

What im looking forwards to.
I have just employed a full time a programmer with TS and Ninja trader skills. (but wont be doing GSB code)
First task is some back end business things and converting systems for sale to Ninja Trader. This will take a bit of time to ramp up.
My hope is this will lead to freeing my time up to have a life, and develop GSB more.
My business model has always been, make GSB for my own trading, improve the product with ideas from the users (Who make it the great product what it is)
It is not sell high volumes of software. If I went down that path, it would be detrimental to my trading.
And after the glorious trading day of November the 30th, this turned out to be a good model.

I may write more, but happy to hear from others Highs, Lows thinks to be thankful for.

Wishing you a great Christmas and happy new year

Thank You, Peter!
A Merry Christmas to you too and thank you so much for all the effort you put in making GSB better and better.
A part from the ES system you mentioned, I see the GSB NQ systems (GSBFLT1NQ, GSBFLT3NQ, GSBFLT5NQ etc) as well as all the GSB_Natural Gas are trading great since a while now!!

A big Thank you!

Hi Peter and all GSB users,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Peter, "What a year!".
I couldn't agree more.
Very good trading year and very bad year from human perspective.
Putin's war on Ukraine has again shown what a man kind is capable of.
As here in Poland we still have many refugees from Ukraine, the war is very present and tangible.
Let's hope that the good will prevail and Ukraine and the Ukrainian people will be able to live in peace.
That is my biggest wish for the coming year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thomas
