No Systems Outputed

Racerx9xxx - 8-10-2017 at 05:25 PM

Peter,
I made a couple runs since your Friday help however they both spit back no systems.
Having made a mistake on the first day of use in setting Date range and Time period in App trading and getting no systems
i double checked that to no avail all was set properly as well as all other settings too default.
Attached are the same data files with different naming conventions.
Both Data series are 24hr however i only am trying to run 8:30-15:00 central time.
No data errors are coming back from the program on both runs regardless of naming convention so i assume the data is loading properly on both runs.
Can you tell me what i am doing wrong to get no systems?
Having worked with Adaptrade i am just trying to ascertain via several different runs the basics..
Thank You Jim

Why are you using 24 hours data?
I expect big degradation in results compared to 830 to 1500
15 minutes is also the best time frame, not 15 or 30 minutes.
This is documented in the private section of the forum here.

It would be safest to use GSB on the defaults, then start tweaking things one thing at a time.
I'm not clear on "both data series are 24 hours". What is your data2?
Also you should be using data from about 2001 for ES, not 2012. The more data you have the more robust model you will be getting.
I can look at your settings as if you send the app settings and optimizer settings files if needed, but I think it wiser to
start by getting closer to the default settings which I feel are close to ideal. (note 15 min is better than the default of 30)
