I often make observations on what people run on the cloud. At times I see people doing things which is just a waste of the users time and cloud
resources. Really high c#/us ratio is a obvious example that can be the tip of the ice burg sticking up out of the water. Wrong combinations of data
streams or wrong secondary filters again are common issues.
If the public cloud is used. Anyone providing workers can observe what users the same. However there is no means to tell who is using the manager.
So there are three options.
1) user always anonymous.
2) user anonymous too all except me.
3) user has option to display their ID. Problem with this is the least competent new users who need some helping hands are the least likely to use
this option. A fix would be option to enter your forum name when you start gsb.
Anyone have thoughts on this?
Another option would be users save oppsettings at forumname.ESsettingsEtc. engtraderfx - 10-12-2018 at 07:31 AM
Good idea, any tips are welcome! I don't mind ID dispayed & some anonymous way to msg.
At some point would be great to collate the latest tips again into a file or guide, a lot of improvements lately.admin - 10-12-2018 at 02:41 PM
For now then make your app setting forumname.anythingulike
Thanks for feedbackengtraderfx - 10-12-2018 at 05:31 PM
Re cloud, just following up a previous beta query, is the cloud going to be accessed in beta in future or only main build 49.12? I am mostly using
beta these days but no cloud worker is included?admin - 10-12-2018 at 05:49 PM

Public Cloud workers should work on all versions of beta, except todays build. As I havnt tested the build, I chose not to update the cloud for a few
days. Your own workers will always work with your own manager. However new workers generally work with old managers, but often new managers wont work
with old workers .
I think the gsb cloud is on 50.26engtraderfx - 10-12-2018 at 05:55 PM
ok, i guess that explains why I tried launching 40.12 cloud worker while running beta 50.26 but nothing happened.
