Getting $VIXX to work (And Success)

heyligerb - 6-12-2018 at 09:16 AM

Hi Peter... been a while since I've used GSB, but one of my systems I built over a year ago just hit a new equity high. So I want to build more.

Is there some kind of a secret getting VIX and other indices to work on the latest version?

I get a system aggregate exception from windows when I hit play using VIX data...

Likely something wrong with the data setup. Great your at new highs.

I will pass that onto programmer
You could try a new version of gsb (and all the new dll) but I doubt it will fix it.
You could also export vix, try 30 minute as a test instead of 1 minute.

I tried $VIX.X as 1min and 30 min export from TradeStation. Neither worked. The 30 min gave me a multiplier issues... FYI..
