We are expecting to be able to provide execution services at Interactive brokers.
This is limited to non USA & Canada clients.(for now)
Brokerage costs $7 per side for emini's
Execution via IBlink on high end Xeon server in data center near the exchange.
see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1pkIezWecg
This is going to save you data fees, hire of servers, hassle of monitoring etc.
Expected to be about 1 month away, but will confirm when close to the time.
USA clients may happen down the track, but this isnt certain.
Send me an email if this is of interest.Petzy - 2-5-2018 at 11:45 PM
I am located outside US as well and this sounds like a great service. I am not familiar with Execution Services however so I would like to know how it
works. What is the practical work flow if I want to have a strategy running?
For example, will I have a copy of Tradestation or MC running at a server at interactive broker and then use IBlink to place orders? Does it require
the TWS application? Or do I upload the systems directly into IBlink and don’t use Tradestation or MC at all?
How does it work with the data feeds? I have a Tradestation account today. All my strategies are developed with Tradestation data. I have heard that
it is best to trade with the same data feed that you developed the strategies with. Have you any experience with develop with data feed from
Tradestation but trade on IB? admin - 3-5-2018 at 12:47 AM
You will send in the ts code and workspace. This will be verified to work according to performance report.
Then this will be run on my TS in a data center sending orders to IB via IBlink.
You will not need to run your own copy of TS, or TWS (Ib's API) or IBlink or your own server, or any data feeds.
No data feeds needed on TWS either.
You will sign paper worker, and assign your tws account to be controlled by the financial advisor.
Hope that helpsPetzy - 3-5-2018 at 09:06 AM
Ok, That makes sense.
A question about IB. Is it possible to sign in to the IB account on my computer to follow the progress of trades P/L etc without disturbing the
automatic trading? admin - 3-5-2018 at 03:41 PM

Yes, but default you loose the ability to trade the account, but I believe this can be undone. It does take at least 24 hours to do.
I think you can also have multiple accounts at IB that are linked.saycem - 9-1-2019 at 05:01 PM
I just stumbled upon this thread. Did the execution with IB and using IBLink ever eventuate or did this not go ahead?admin - 9-1-2019 at 05:15 PM

Its only legal issues that are stopping it. Halifax.nz legally took care of this, but then halfax.au caused issues for halifax.nz
Decent chance that Halifax will come on line again. Too soon to know.
