Stable TradeStation Version
heyligerb - 30-11-2024 at 07:59 AM
Peter told me the only version of TradeStation that is worth running (and stable) is:
Build 76
Release Build 1220
But of course it's not available for download. Does anyone have it they can share with me?
Thanks,
BrianCarl - 30-11-2024 at 08:33 AM
Hi Brian,
Unfortunately I don't have build 76, 1220 for you.
But I do have the TS 10 base installation dated August 2023.
And the TS 10 build 77 Peter shared in August 2024.
Please let me know if you are interested in having one or both of these files.

Regarding bitcoin futures MBT and BTC on TS. I tested some strategy long time ago but i remember that it was not permitted with market orders when i
live simulated and this was also for live trading. Does anybody know if market orders are allowed now ?admin - 24-1-2025 at 04:47 PM
@SwedenTrader
a few of us have been trading btc futures for years using market orders. Im trading at TS as the margins at IB were 300k or so per big BTC contract,
and 1/50th for micros.
I have never been aware of this issue of market orders not being permittedFrank - 26-1-2025 at 11:36 AM
If you want to trade BTC futures, please be aware of potential CFTC reporting: the reportable level for both Bitcoin futures and Micro Bitcoin futures
is a low quantity of only 25 contracts. For Micro Bitcoin, 25 contracts is an initial margin of only $18.000 - so remember to switch to Bitcoin
futures early. Market participants in all futures contracts are required to report end-of-day positions that equal or exceed the reportable level
specified in CFTC regulation 15.03.7.tialt - 2-2-2025 at 07:57 AM

Today when the intraday NG systems closed the orders was rejected due to holiday. Even with this code active, but the charts tried to close at the
regular session close, so this code only activates if the session is shorter than usual ?
i have this code just in case not able to exit manually when next bar opens:
If d <> d[1] then// Exit at market open should you still be long over night, or have traded on half trading day where moc failed
Begin
if marketPosition = 1 then sell("OopsLongOut") next bar at open;
If marketPosition =-1 then buyToCover("OopsShortOut") next bar at open;admin - 17-2-2025 at 05:33 PM
@sweedenTrade
that code will execute on the open of the next day, which is better than nothing.
If you have TMA, simply set the MOC time to be say 13:29:10 (there are many variations and smart exit options) https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/TrademaidAutomationforTS.html
if you have ts / mc, much less options.
I posted on the forum months back under systems for sale, some holiday code you can exit early, but its by one bar only which is not ideal when your
on 30 minutes, and the holiday code was for cme, not not gas
Server for sale
RandyT - 24-2-2025 at 07:25 AM
Greetings All,
Nick and I have been running a server at Cermak datacenter in Chicago for last few years.
We've made the decision to shut it down as trading focus changes a bit from intraday to
daily and longer timeframes.
We're going to offer it for sale which would be a handy way to setup a colocated server as
you can avoid the costs of shipping and setup. We're currently paying $218/mo on a
month-to-month contract. I assume you could probably take over that contract or negotiate
a better one. Not sure what the market is like right now at Cermak.
The server is equiped as follows:
Running Proxmox Hypervisor with Opnsense firewall setup for VPN access.
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2690 v2 @ 3.00GHz (2 Sockets)
196GB RAM
300GB Boot Drive, 3.69TB ZFS RAID array of 4 disks, SSD ZFS Cache
Dell HBA Controller
I'd like to get $500 out of it. If you are interested, send me a private message. Happy to answer any questions.

Microsoft is getting adamant I update from Windows 10 to 11. Any comments/suggestions?admin - 11-7-2025 at 05:30 PM
im going to do it as eventually will need some of the updates, and my pc is high spec. there was a way so you dont get all the tracking from microsoft
this is from Grock. I have not done it yet.
Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 while minimizing Microsoft’s tracking and telemetry involves a combination of careful installation methods and
post-upgrade privacy tweaks. Microsoft’s telemetry in Windows 11 collects data like usage patterns, diagnostics, and sometimes third-party data
sharing, which many users consider intrusive. Below, I outline the steps to upgrade and reduce tracking, focusing on practical methods and
privacy-focused configurations. Note that completely eliminating telemetry is nearly impossible without third-party tools or extreme measures, but you
can significantly reduce it.
### Step 1: Check System Compatibility
Before upgrading, ensure your PC meets Windows 11’s minimum requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, supported CPU). Use Microsoft’s PC Health Check tool
to verify compatibility. If your PC doesn’t meet requirements, you can bypass them (see Step 3), but this may not be officially supported.[](https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-upgrade-to-windows-11-fo...)
### Step 2: Prepare for the Upgrade
1. **Back Up Your Data**: Save important files to an external drive or cloud storage (preferably not OneDrive to avoid Microsoft’s ecosystem).
2. **Create a Local Account Plan**: Windows 11 pushes for a Microsoft account, which enhances data collection. To use a local account, you’ll need to
bypass the Microsoft account requirement during setup (detailed below).
3. **Download Installation Media**: Go to Microsoft’s “Download Windows 11” page and use the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB drive for a
clean install or upgrade. Alternatively, download the Windows 11 ISO directly for more control.[](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/ways-to-install-...)
### Step 3: Upgrade Methods (With Privacy in Mind)
You have two main options to upgrade: Windows Update or a clean install. Both can be configured to minimize tracking.
#### Option 1: Upgrade via Windows Update
This is the simplest method for compatible PCs.
1. **Check for Updates**: In Windows 10, go to *Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update* and click “Check for updates.” If Windows 11 is
available, follow the prompts to install.[](https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-upgrade-to-windows-11-fo...)
2. **Avoid Microsoft Account**: During setup, you may be prompted to sign in with a Microsoft account. To bypass this:
- Disconnect from the internet before starting the upgrade (unplug Ethernet or disable Wi-Fi).
- When prompted to connect to a network, press **Shift + F10** to open a command prompt.
- Type `oobe\bypassnro` and press Enter. This restarts the setup and allows you to proceed without a network, enabling the option to create a local
account.
3. **Keep Files and Apps**: Ensure the upgrade option to keep personal files and apps is selected to avoid data loss.[](https://au.pcmag.com/migrated-15175-windows-10/90247/how-to-...)
#### Option 2: Clean Install with Rufus (Bypass Restrictions and Microsoft Account)
For incompatible PCs or those wanting a fresh start, use the Rufus utility to create a customized installation media that bypasses Microsoft’s
restrictions and account requirements.
1. **Download Rufus**: Get the latest version from the official Rufus website (rufus.ie).
2. **Create Bootable USB**:
- Insert a USB drive (8GB+).
- In Rufus, select the Windows 11 ISO, then configure:
- Check “Remove requirement for an online Microsoft account.”
- Optionally, disable TPM/Secure Boot checks for incompatible PCs.
- Disable data collection (telemetry) where prompted.[](https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-install-windows-11-your...)
3. **Install Windows 11**:
- Boot from the USB drive (enter BIOS to set USB as the boot device).
- Run `setup.exe` from the USB for an upgrade or perform a clean install (back up data first for clean installs).
- Choose to keep files/apps if upgrading, or wipe the drive for a clean install.
4. **Bypass CPU/TPM Checks (if needed)**: If your PC doesn’t meet requirements, Rufus automatically skips these checks. Alternatively, modify the
Windows Registry before upgrading:
- Open `regedit` and navigate to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup`.
- Create a new key called `MoSetup` (if it doesn’t exist).
- Create a DWORD value named `AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU` and set it to `1`.[](https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-upgrade-an-incompatible...)
### Step 4: Post-Upgrade Privacy Tweaks
After installing Windows 11, configure settings to minimize tracking and telemetry. Windows 11 collects data via telemetry, diagnostics, and
third-party sharing, so these steps are critical.[](https://www.fb-pro.com/windows-11-spyware-stop/)
1. **Switch to a Local Account**:
- Go to *Settings > Accounts > Your info > Sign in with a local account instead*.
- Follow prompts to create a local account and sign out of the Microsoft account. This reduces cloud-based data syncing.[](https://novacustom.com/how-to-optimise-windows-11-for-privac...)
2. **Disable Telemetry and Diagnostics**:
- Navigate to *Settings > Privacy & security > Diagnostics & feedback*.
- Turn off:
- *Send optional diagnostic data*.
- *Improve inking and typing*.
- *Tailored experiences*.
- Select *Delete diagnostic data* to clear existing data.[](https://www.makeuseof.com/disable-windows-11-tracking-featur...)
3. **Turn Off Activity History**:
- Go to *Settings > Privacy & security > Activity history*.
- Disable *Store my activity history on this device* and clear existing history.[](https://www.makeuseof.com/disable-windows-11-tracking-featur...)
4. **Disable Ad Tracking**:
- Go to *Settings > Privacy & security > General*.
- Turn off all toggles, including *Let apps show me personalized ads by using my advertising ID*.[](https://novacustom.com/how-to-optimise-windows-11-for-privac...)
5. **Disable Location Tracking**:
- Go to *Settings > Privacy & security > Location*.
- Turn off *Location services*.[](https://novacustom.com/how-to-optimise-windows-11-for-privac...)
6. **Configure Microsoft Edge (or Switch Browsers)**:
- If using Edge, go to *Settings > Privacy, search, and services* and enable *Tracking prevention* (set to *Strict*). Disable *Saved data* options
like passwords and credit cards.
- For better privacy, switch to a browser like Firefox or Brave, which are open-source and privacy-focused.[](https://jetico.com/blog/how-take-back-your-windows-11-privac...)
7. **Disable Notifications and Suggestions**:
- Go to *Settings > System > Notifications > Additional settings* and uncheck all boxes to stop Microsoft’s prompts to re-enable tracking
features.[](https://novacustom.com/how-to-optimise-windows-11-for-privac...)
### Step 6: Optional Advanced Measures
- **Use a VPN**: A VPN (e.g., IPVanish) can mask your network activity from Microsoft and third parties. Choose a reputable provider with a kill
switch.[](https://www.ipvanish.com/blog/disable-windows-11-tracking/)
- **Firewall Rules**: Configure your firewall to block Microsoft telemetry servers (e.g., `vortex-win.data.microsoft.com`). This requires advanced
knowledge and can break updates if misconfigured.[](https://www.elevenforum.com/t/windows-11-privacy-tools.25083...)
- **Custom ISO**: Use tools like UUP Dump to create a Windows 11 ISO without bloatware like Edge or UWP apps. Set `SkipEdge` and `SkipApps` to `1` in
the `ConvertConfig.ini` file.
- **Consider Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC**: This version is stripped of most bloatware and telemetry but is harder to obtain legally for individual
users.[](https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/1ilrbmz/upgrad...)
### Step 7: Verify and Maintain
- **Check Privacy Settings Regularly**: Microsoft may re-enable tracking features during updates. Periodically review *Settings > Privacy & security*.
- **Monitor Network Activity**: Use tools like Wireshark or GlassWire to detect unexpected data transmissions to Microsoft servers.[](https://www.fb-pro.com/windows-11-spyware-stop/)
- **Stay Informed**: Follow tech communities (e.g., Reddit’s r/techsupport or X posts) for updates on new telemetry bypass methods or Microsoft policy
changes.[](https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/1ilrbmz/upgrad...)
### Notes and Caveats
- **Telemetry Cannot Be Fully Disabled**: Even with these steps, some diagnostic data is sent to Microsoft for system functionality. Enterprise
editions or advanced hardening (e.g., group policies) are needed for near-complete telemetry removal, but these are impractical for most users.[](https://www.fb-pro.com/windows-11-spyware-stop/)
- **Bypassing Requirements Risks Stability**: Installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware may lead to performance issues or missing updates. Proceed
with caution.[](https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-upgrade-an-incompatible...)
- **Legal and Ethical Considerations**: Ensure any tools or methods comply with Microsoft’s terms of service to avoid licensing issues.
By following these steps, you can upgrade to Windows 11 while significantly reducing Microsoft’s tracking and telemetry. For the most privacy, combine
a local account, disabled telemetry settings, and third-party tools like DoNotSpy11 or Winaero Tweaker. If privacy is your top priority and you’re
comfortable with alternatives, consider exploring Linux distributions like Ubuntu or Mint, which offer greater control over data collection.[](https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/1ilrbmz/upgrad...)

I hope this is the right place to post this, but I've had an idea for a feature request that might be very helpful in some ways:
When saving a system from the grid, there are options to save a csv of the trade list and so on with it. So I've wondered if there could be added
here an option to also save the tradestation or multicharts scripts as plaintext files alongside the system and tradelist csv.
The reasoning for this is that it would enable interesting worfklow boosts like mass saving the easylanguage code portions to review later without
having to manually click and copy/paste scripts by hand for each of them.
Don't worry about it if it's not easy or a priority, I just thought I'd mention it because it might have some good uses someday if there is a way.
Thanks!

My Resource Manager won't boot up. Asks if I want to run the program as Administrator, I click on yes and then nothing happens. Any suggestions?admin - 25-9-2025 at 07:44 PM
So i have the same problem and tried everything i excluded all C:/gsb , TradeStation and rm folders same thing can't start it, only thing is that, the
false positive doesn't appear anymore and is not detected but still won't launch the RM, secondly i tried and overwrote all the files as you said
still does not work, even if i turn off AV , nothing happens so what i think is happened that my AV somehow deleted or removed a file that was needed
to start it so i think now is only reinstall of the RM reasonable option. what do you think? do you or someone have some other ideas?
Thanks for the help tialt - 27-9-2025 at 09:22 AM

Hello,
I've tried to look around to find the answer to this, but I didn't see it anywhere yet, so I thought I'd ask about it on here.
My question is about how I can try to find some macros that I think are missing in my installation.
CL, GC sysbuild settings files are looking for this macro name:
nct3-300_build_gc_p0.90_pf1.6+stats_is2018.2_oos202411-Fast300B+20250515.gsbmacro
NG sysbuild settings use this macro name:
300_build_p0.90_pf1.6+stats_is2018.2_oos202411-Fast300B.gsbmacro
These macros don't appear in my Macros folder, but there are some similar looking ones that I do have:
Is there somewhere that I could download the ones I'm missing, or else if not, could anyone tell me what the steps are on these macros so I can make
new files that do those steps?
Thank you very much!admin - 29-9-2025 at 03:57 AM

EWFO Usage + Multicharts
Fernandias - 7-12-2025 at 05:05 PM
Hi everyone! I'm new here and trying to introduce EWFO into my workflow with MultiCharts. I'm not a GSB user. This hasn't been easy start, perhaps I'm
doing things wrong, but I'd appreciate any help.
Questions:
1. EWFO documentation says to tick "Walk Forward" in MultiCharts during preparation, but when I do this, the DATA folder is empty. Shouldn't I be
doing a standard optimization (Exhaustive or Genetic) instead? See screenshot.
2. When I set "nth Best Run" in the advanced settings, I get N runs shown on the graph. How do I identify which one is the best and what its number
is? The graph doesn't provide that information.
3. How do I perform a WFA of the nth Best Run that isnt #1? For example, if I want to check the 5th or 6th run specifically?
4. In the advanced settings, I see undocumented options (shown in the screenshot). What do these mean?
5. What is the Enhanced WFE?
Thanks in advance for your time!
admin - 7-12-2025 at 05:38 PM
1) I havnt used mc wf with ewfo for > 5 years, so rusty on this.
You must tick the wf box in mc, and use gentic or exhaustive
its documented here.https://trademaid.info/gsbhelp/MultichartshowtorunaWalkForwardp.html
2) I think this is faulty logic, saying say the second best choice in parameters is going to be best oos is not valid.
What is valid is observing the stop say 10 nth systems results are ok, vs the top 1 results is ok, and the next 9 are crap
3) you cant and you shouldnt. as discussed above
4) some of this is documented. backwards wf is a cool feature. SQN very few people use it, and it makes ewfo much slower.
The rest I would leave as is. Your strugling with basic thinks, so should avoid complex things.
5) I dont thing there is a Enhanced option, so i assume this is just in the name of Enhanced w f o. Its greatly enhanced from what ts built.tialt - 3-1-2026 at 01:44 PM
I've imported GSB_ALL_FUNCTIONS_2025_1215b.ELD but cannot get Value1 = GSB_Scripts_2025_12_15; to compile.
Also the function vnSF = GSB_NormNonev2(vSF, 100) of Data(iSFData); is not found
And there is uncommented code at the end of each strategy copied to TS that has to be manually commented out
begin
// Initialize OBV on the first bar
if BarNumber = 1 then
OBVValue = 0
else
begin
// Standard OBV update for the current bar
if Price > Price[1] then
OBVValue = OBVValue[1] + ticks else if Price < Price[1] then
OBVValue = OBVValue[1] - ticks else
OBVValue = OBVValue[1];
// Subtract the contribution of the bar that falls out of the 100-bar window
if BarNumber > LookbackLength then
begin
if Price[LookbackLength] > Price[LookbackLength + 1] then
OldestBarContribution = Volume[LookbackLength]
else if Price[LookbackLength] < Price[LookbackLength + 1] then
OldestBarContribution = -Volume[LookbackLength]
else
OldestBarContribution = 0;
// Plot the OBV value
Plot1( OBVValue, "OBV_100" );
end;
Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?admin - 4-1-2026 at 05:25 PM
Hi Tialt,
problem is on my side, but im confused over code that has to be commented out
you mean the plot1 code, as that wont work in a function.
what function is that in?
here is update to include GSB_Scripts_2025_12_15; and GSB_NormNonev2
by the way, the dummy script can always be commented out.
If its added though, its because there are other updates to eld which you may or may not need
